How the PFRA is scored

The Physical Fitness Readiness Assessment has four components: cardio is worth 50 points, body composition 20, muscular strength 15 and core endurance 15, for 100 in total.

To pass you need a composite score of at least 75 and the minimum in each fitness component. Body composition has no minimum. A composite of 90 or more is rated Excellent.

Body composition is the waist-to-height ratio. Height is recorded to the nearest half inch, waist is rounded down to the nearest half inch, and the ratio is cut (not rounded) to two decimals before scoring.

The 2 km walk is scored pass or fail against a maximum time. When it replaces the run, the official composite is calculated from the other components by myFitness, so this calculator shows your walk result and component points but not a composite.
